FBI Seizes Hamas Crypto Fundraising Pipeline
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has disrupted Hamas' cryptocurrency fundraising pipeline by seizing its infrastructure and intercepting digital donations.
In a recent operation, investigators used court-authorized warrants to seize domains and servers linked to AlQassam.ps, a website tied to the Al Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing.
The seizures allowed agents to recover over $560,000 in digital assets and intercept cryptocurrency donations intended for Hamas.
Special Agent in Charge Justin A. Garris of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office stated that reducing Hamas' fundraising capabilities was the primary focus of the operation.
