FBI Shuts Down Crypto Channel Used to Finance Hamas

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has taken down a cryptocurrency channel used to finance Hamas through donations collected in the United States and other countries.

According to the FBI, the fundraising scheme was launched by an organization in 2019 and involved several online platforms linked to Hamas.

The operation resulted in the seizure of $560,000 in cryptocurrency held in wallets connected to Hamas. Additionally, access was gained to the data of thousands of individuals involved in financing Hamas activities.
