FBI Supervisor Charged with Stealing $1M in Crypto from Russia

An FBI supervisor detailed to the U.S. intelligence community has been charged with two federal crimes related to cryptocurrency theft.

Patrick Yaroch, who worked on counterintelligence and cybersecurity matters, is accused of transferring nearly $1 million from cryptocurrency accounts tied to an adversarial nation into his personal wallet.

The charges include interstate transportation of stolen goods and receipt of stolen property.
