FCA and HTX Engage in Settlement Talks Over Crypto Promotion Allegations
The UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is locked in settlement talks with HTX, a cryptocurrency exchange under EU and UK sanctions.
The lawsuit against HTX, formerly known as Huobi, was filed last October over allegations that it illegally promotes crypto services to UK consumers.
Despite the lawsuit being halted to allow for two months of settlement talks, which were extended by another two months in June, both parties have declined to comment on the status of discussions.
HTX has stated its commitment to upholding high standards of compliance and transparency, while also acknowledging that it is not intended for UK users.
