Fed Decision and Regulatory Uncertainty Spark Crypto Market Volatility
The cryptocurrency market has seen some volatility in recent days, with Bitcoin holding relatively steady while altcoins and decentralized finance (DeFi) tokens take a hit.
According to data from various sources, including CoinGecko and Coinbase UK, Bitcoin's price has been fluctuating around $64,300-$63,900 over the past 24-48 hours, up roughly 1% on some days but still significantly below its October 2025 high of just above $126,000.
The Federal Reserve's decision to keep interest rates at 3.50%-3.75% was seen as expected by many, but the close internal vote added to uncertainty and liquidity-sensitive assets like Bitcoin reacted accordingly.
Fed Chair Kevin Warsh described the split as a 'good family fight' and said he intends to give markets less explicit forward guidance than in the past, which could mean more volatility around economic data releases.
