Fed Decision Sets Stage for Two Weeks of Market Volatility
The Federal Reserve's interest rate decision on July 29 will set the tone for two weeks of closely watched economic data and earnings reports from major crypto companies.
No dot plot is included in this meeting, so market participants must rely on the Fed's statement wording and Chair Kevin Warsh's press conference to gauge their intentions. The following day, the Q2 GDP advance estimate and June PCE inflation data will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET.
Coinbase and Strategy, which holds 843,775 BTC acquired for roughly $63.69 billion, report second-quarter earnings on July 30. This comes after a tumultuous quarter for Coinbase, which posted a $394 million net loss and cut around 700 jobs. If either company's results or guidance surprise the market, their Bitcoin exposure could spill into broader crypto sentiment.
