Fed Drops Crypto Enforcement Action Against United Texas Bank

Share

The Federal Reserve has terminated its enforcement action against United Texas Bank, effective September 2, 2026.

The termination comes nearly two years after a consent order was issued on August 29, 2024, which required the bank to strengthen board oversight and overhaul its anti-money laundering compliance program.

The Fed's decision also marks the end of a July 2023 written agreement with Quontic entities.

This development is seen as an easing of compliance pressure on banks serving crypto clients, potentially improving their banking access and DeFi/CEX capabilities.
