The Federal Reserve (Fed) has maintained its benchmark interest rate at 3.50-3.75 percent for the fifth consecutive time, according to the July 2026 Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting results.

Bitcoin's market response to this decision was relatively limited, but it tends to hold up after FOMC announcements when the Fed's decisions align with market expectations.

Aloysia Dian, Chief Marketing Officer of Indonesian crypto exchange INDODAX, noted that investors pay attention not only to interest rate decisions but also to the central bank's overall message and policymakers' views on future economic outlooks.

Diana stated that when FOMC results are in line with expectations, market volatility due to policy surprises tends to be reduced, reflecting a well-informed market sentiment formed from multiple factors.
