Fed Rate Hike Fears Fail to Dampen Tom Lee's Crypto Optimism
Fundstrat's CIO Tom Lee believes that the market could see a 'surprise upside' despite growing Fed rate hike fears. He noted that September is often a weak month for the market due to mounting concerns, but this time it might surprise investors with an upward move.
The key pivot point for the market will be the Fed's meeting on September 15th. If the Fed decides not to cut or hike interest rates (hold at current 3.50%-3.75%), Lee expects the markets to rally 'very strongly.'
Crypto, particularly Ethereum ($ETH), is seen as a top candidate for a significant price increase if the bullish outlook holds. The asset class has been battered by Fed rate hike fears, with Bitcoin struggling below $80K over the weekend.
