A new study by the Cleveland branch of the US Federal Reserve has shed light on the factors influencing investors' decisions to enter the cryptocurrency market. Researchers found that providing information about Bitcoin's past performance significantly increases the likelihood of investors purchasing cryptocurrencies.

The study, which examined US household cryptocurrency investments, revealed that participants who were given information about Bitcoin's price increases were more likely to hold BTC and other cryptocurrencies.

The report stated that some participants were given information about Bitcoin's 14.3% return over the previous 12 months, while others were not. As a result, participants in the informed group were approximately 2.41 percentage points more likely to report owning cryptocurrency in a subsequent survey.
