Federal Judge Dismisses Claver Defamation Suit Against XRP Critic Zach Rector
A federal judge has dismissed a defamation lawsuit filed by XRP-focused influencer Jake Claver against content creator Zach Rector. The ruling, issued on September 2, found that Rector's 2025 videos about Claver's businesses contained no actionably false statements.
The court ruled under Washington's Uniform Public Expression Protection Act, the state's anti-SLAPP law designed to protect speech on matters of public concern.
Claver had filed a lawsuit against Rector in 2026, alleging defamation and other claims. However, the court found that Rector was entitled to recover his attorneys' fees and litigation costs.
