Few and Far Founder Charged with Securities Fraud and Wire Fraud
The founder of the Few and Far NFT startup, Taj Tarsha, has been charged by the DOJ with securities fraud and wire fraud. Tarsha allegedly raised over $10 million from 67 investors for a planned nonfungible token marketplace.
The investors were told their money would be used to develop the token, build the marketplace, and cover legitimate corporate expenses. However, prosecutors claim that Tarsha diverted company assets into online gambling, speculative crypto trades, and personal expenses.
The FAR token launched in May 2024 on a single exchange, but it lost over 99% of its value by mid-2025. The government alleges that Tarsha treated the launch as a formality rather than a genuine business milestone.
