FG Nexus Abandons Ethereum Strategy, Shifts to Real Estate
Nasdaq-listed FG Nexus has ended its Ethereum treasury strategy after just nine months, resulting in a $45.2 million loss. The company had launched this strategy in July 2025, raising $200 million and designating ETH as its primary reserve asset.
By late September 2025, FG Nexus held 50,770 ETH tokens valued at approximately $207 million based on their reference price at the time. However, staking activities produced only $144,000 in revenue during the first half of 2026, a fraction of the losses incurred.
The company's CEO, Kyle Cerminara, stated that FG Nexus intended to 'reallocate all of our capital from digital assets to cash flow producing real estate over the near term.' The firm is now shifting towards manufactured housing real estate and has already established a real estate operating subsidiary focused on land-lease communities.
