FG Nexus Dumps More Ethereum Amid Substantial Losses
FG Nexus, a publicly traded Ethereum treasury and infrastructure company, has continued to sell its Ethereum holdings in an effort to mitigate losses. The company's decision to dump more Ethereum comes after it sold 7,550 units on Tuesday for approximately $14 million, adding to a series of disposals that have now generated over $80 million in realized losses.
The sale brings the total number of Ethereum units disposed of by FG Nexus to around 21,000, which were acquired between August and September 2025 at an average price of roughly $3,860 per coin. With the current Ethereum price hovering near $2,058, the unrealized loss on the remaining position held by the company runs to approximately $68 million.
FG Nexus is not alone in facing significant losses due to its Ethereum-heavy balance sheet. Bitmine Immersion Technologies, the largest listed Ethereum holder, carries an estimated paper loss of around $8.8 billion due to its average acquisition cost being far higher than the current market price.
