Fidelity Adds Staking, Quarterly Payouts to Ethereum ETF
Fidelity Investments is expanding its Ethereum ETF offering by adding staking and quarterly payouts. The company's move is aimed at attracting more investors to this type of product, which tracks the performance of Ether (ETH), the cryptocurrency used on the Ethereum network.
The new features will be added to Fidelity's already existing $900 million ETH exchange-traded fund (ETF) listed on the NYSE Arca. Staking allows investors to participate in validating transactions and earning rewards, while quarterly payouts provide regular returns to shareholders.
Fidelity did not disclose specific details about how the staking and payout structures will work or when they will be implemented. However, this move is seen as an effort by the company to increase investor engagement with its cryptocurrency offerings.
