Fidelity Warns Bitcoin Volatility on Verge of Breaking
Bitcoin's price has been relatively stable lately, with its volatility at an all-time low. According to Fidelity Digital Assets, the asset's spot trading volume is also at its lowest level since 2019.
The coin's price has remained virtually unchanged over the past 30 days, with some analysts suggesting that the bottom may be in place. Bitcoin was recently trading for $65,329, nearly 50% lower than its all-time high of October 2025.
Fidelity Digital Assets warned that periods of compressed volatility don't last forever and that a 'meaningful move' is likely to occur soon. Investment manager VanEck also noted that bitcoin's thirty-day realized volatility had fallen to 27.2% annualized, down from 30.4% the prior month.
The asset manager pointed out that based on prior cycles, a bottom potentially forming anywhere between September and November of this year is possible. This would make it the shallowest bear market in Bitcoin's 16-year history.
