FIFA plans to create a new subsidiary called FIFA Forward Enterprise, which will house its lucrative business lines in media rights, sponsorships, licensing, and event operations. The entity is valued at $20 billion by JPMorgan, with FIFA seeking to raise $4.2 billion by selling 20-21% of the company's shares.

The proceeds from this sale are intended to fund football development projects across FIFA's 211 member associations. However, the proposal has already faced opposition from CONCACAF, which represents North American and Caribbean football nations.

JPMorgan is running the numbers on this complex deal, which must be approved by FIFA's member associations before September 19. The crypto world is also taking notice, with Socios.com proposing to tokenize the raise and allow fans to participate directly.
