Filipino Crypto Users Rely on Cross-Platform Information Ecosystem
Echobit Labs has published a report on how Filipino crypto users discover and evaluate information across various social platforms. The study highlights the distinct roles played by Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, creators, and crypto-native communities in shaping the Philippine crypto market.
The report found that Facebook functions as more than just a social media platform in the Philippines, with an estimated advertising reach of 95.8 million users by the end of 2025. This makes it a potential foundation for content distribution, community building, customer engagement, and local trust-building for crypto companies.
The study also notes that YouTube serves as a space for longer-form content explaining trading strategies, wallets, tokens, and market developments, with approximately 59.6 million users reached through advertising. Echobit Labs argues that complex financial concepts may be easier to communicate through video narratives, particularly when delivered in local languages or bilingual formats.
TikTok appears better suited to the awareness stage, introducing younger audiences to Bitcoin and broader crypto narratives through its short-form format. However, deeper education and conversion may require users to move toward YouTube, Facebook communities, Telegram, or trading platforms.
