Financial Markets Rapidly Converging on Tokenized Trading
OKX Director Lennix recently spoke at Bitcoin Asia 2026, where he shared his thoughts on the growing trend of financial markets moving towards tokenization and around-the-clock trading.
Lennix emphasized that traditional financial products are rapidly converging onto a single account system. He believes users want to be able to trade and manage different types of assets from within the same account, under the same margin and risk management systems.
However, Lennix noted that the true challenge lies in connecting the underlying infrastructure for each asset, including bank systems, wallets, trading accounts, shared collateral, and coordination between back-end regulatory and compliance platforms.
In a nod to recent developments at OKX, Lennix highlighted how tokenization of traditional assets is essentially an upgrade for traditional markets. By integrating these assets into the decentralized exchange's matching, margining, risk management, and compliance systems, longer trading times and more efficient risk management become possible, even outside of trading hours.
