Fireblocks Hires Former SEC Commissioner Amid Shifting Crypto Rules
Fireblocks, an enterprise platform securing over $14 trillion in digital asset transactions, has appointed Elad Roisman as its Chief Regulatory and Policy Officer and General Counsel. Roisman will lead Fireblocks' regulatory strategy and policy engagement, including legal work on regulatory matters.
Roisman joins the leadership team and is based in Washington, D.C. He brings extensive experience in digital asset regulation, having served as an SEC Commissioner and Acting Chairman, where he voted on over 100 rulemakings and enforcement actions.
The appointment comes as US crypto rules take shape, with the country now having federal stablecoin law and negotiating market structure legislation. The European Union is implementing MiCA, and supervisors across Asia and the Middle East are setting their own standards.
