Fireblocks Rolls Out Wallet Pools to Streamline Crypto Vault Management

Fireblocks, a digital asset infrastructure firm that secures trillions in transactions annually, has introduced Wallet Pools, a feature designed to eliminate stuck transactions in vault management. This innovation allows clients to consolidate multiple vaults into unified pools, using a health-tiered round-robin algorithm to route transactions and avoid stuck lanes.

The problem of stuck transactions is particularly prevalent on blockchains like Ethereum, where transactions must be processed in a specific order determined by a nonce, or sequential number. If one transaction gets stuck, subsequent transactions will wait indefinitely.

Wallet Pools tackles this issue by grouping multiple vaults into a single transaction source and distributing transactions across the pool. When one vault encounters a stuck transaction, the algorithm routes new transactions to healthy vaults in the pool.
