Firedancer Launch Boosts Solana Price by 5%
Solana saw a 5% surge in price this week after Firedancer, a validator client developed by Jump Crypto, launched on its mainnet.
The launch marks an end to Solana's extended beta period, according to co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko.
Firedancer uses C and C++ to handle high transaction loads and reduce network downtime risks. It successfully completed over 100 days of controlled testing, processing more than 1 million transactions per second in test environments.
While adoption remains limited, with Firedancer nodes controlling less than 1% of total staked SOL, the launch has sparked interest in Solana ETFs, which saw $11 million in inflows on the day of the announcement.
