Flare Network Pushes Forward with XRPFi Initiative Amid Stagnant XRP Prices
The Flare Network is continuing to push forward with its XRPFi initiative, even as the XRP price remains stagnant. The network has rolled out Smart Accounts v1.3, which allows users to move XRP into curated vaults using a single signature from an existing XRP Ledger wallet.
This update eliminates the need for a separate EVM wallet, gas token, or manual bridging, making it easier for users to put their XRP to work in DeFi. The process is described as non-custodial and automated, with Flare Smart Accounts handling minting, deposits, and yield generation.
The latest update shows that the development pace of the Flare Network has not slowed down, despite the weak prices of the FLR token. However, strong infrastructure alone does not guarantee immediate demand for related tokens, highlighting an ongoing challenge in the crypto space.
