Flipster Secures VARA License, Expanding Regulated Crypto Services in UAE
Flipster, a leading cryptocurrency trading platform, has achieved a major milestone by securing a full operational Exchange license from Dubai's Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). This license enables Flipster to launch regulated virtual asset services in the UAE and marks a significant step in its global expansion strategy.
The license, number VL/26/07/002, was granted to Flipster FZE, allowing the company to onboard customers in the UAE. The initial focus will be on spot trading, forming the foundation of Flipster's regulated product suite. This move reinforces Flipster's commitment to providing a secure and transparent trading environment, supported by robust standards for custody, governance, and compliance.
Flipster's General Manager of Flipster FZE, Benjamin Grolimund, first announced the company's entry into the Middle East in May 2025. Securing the full operational license marks the next phase of this expansion, as the company moves from market entry to delivering regulated services in one of the world's most advanced digital asset ecosystems.
Flipster offers access to real-world asset perpetuals in supported jurisdictions, giving users trading exposure to both digital and traditional asset classes. The company believes regulation is essential to building long-term trust and that VARA sets a strong benchmark for balancing innovation with investor protection.
