Florida Brothers Charged with Operating Darknet Narcotics Vendor 'BarbaraWhite'
Two Florida brothers, Vladislav Chernyshov and Stanislav Chernyshov, have been charged with allegedly operating a darknet narcotics vendor called 'BarbaraWhite.' The vendor sold counterfeit oxycodone pills containing nitazenes, substances that can match or exceed fentanyl's potency.
The investigation began after a fatal overdose in Arlington, Virginia. According to records, the victim died on August 28, 2023, four days after receiving a parcel connected to a BarbaraWhite purchase.
Chainalysis reported that investigators associated BarbaraWhite shipments with at least 12 overdoses across the U.S., including three fatalities. Records from three marketplaces allegedly showed sales exceeding 95,000 counterfeit pills.
