Fold, a Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin financial services company, made significant moves in the first half of 2026 to address its financial situation. The company sold a total of 832 BTC to repay debt and fund operations.

The sales included 200 BTC for $14.4 million in February and another 632 BTC for $44.7 million in June. Of the June proceeds, $20 million went towards repaying a Bitcoin-backed loan, while the remaining $24.7 million was retained as cash.

As a result of these sales, Fold's Bitcoin holdings for investment purposes fell to 194 BTC by the end of June. Including 77 BTC held separately for customer rewards, its total holdings stood at 271 BTC.

Fold posted an operating loss of $15.6 million in the first half, which may lead the company to seek additional funding through further share sales or Bitcoin disposals.
