Fomo Overtakes Hyperliquid in 24-Hour Revenue, Redefining DeFi's Competitive Landscape
Fomo, a social trading app built on Solana, has gained significant traction in the DeFi space by posting higher 24-hour revenue than Hyperliquid. According to DefiLlama data, Fomo's recent 24-hour revenue peaked near $399K, surpassing Hyperliquid's single-day revenues of up to $6.84M.
This achievement is particularly impressive given that Fomo only launched perpetual futures trading in June 2026 and has yet to reach the same level of cumulative revenue as Hyperliquid, which crossed $1B by midyear.
Fomo earns most of its revenue from transaction fees on Solana token swaps, while the platform's social features and copy trading capabilities contribute to its growing user base. The addition of perpetual futures trading through partnerships with Hyperliquid and Trade.xyz has also contributed to Fomo's success, although builder fees from these integrations account for a relatively modest slice of total revenue.
With over 625,000 users and cumulative trading volumes north of $4B, Fomo is now in the same conversation as established Solana heavyweights like Jupiter and Phantom. The platform's recent weekly revenue hit an all-time high of $2.64M for the week ending August 8, 2026.
