Fomo Trading App Cracks Top Five US Finance Charts
Fomo, a crypto-native trading app founded by Paul Erlanger and Se Yong Park in May 2025, has cracked the top five US finance charts on Apple's App Store. By August 21, Fomo had surpassed Cash App and briefly reached as high as third place, ahead of prediction-market rival Kalshi. This achievement is significant, as finance-app rankings are typically dominated by established brands like banks and payment apps.
In November 2025, Fomo closed a $17 million Series A led by Benchmark. The startup drew up a wishlist of 200 dream angel investors, with 140 contributing to the round, including Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, and Raj Gokal, co-founder of Solana.
Fomo's user base has surpassed 600,000, with over $4 billion in trading volume. The app lets users see what people they follow are trading in real time, track leaderboards, and copy trading signals, all funded instantly through Apple Pay. Its growth is tied to the broader momentum around Ronald Hood Chain, which launched its public mainnet on July 1.
