The US crypto bill, Digital Asset Market Clarity Act (H.R. 3633), has gained momentum after the National Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) announced its support for the updated legislation.

In a July 24 letter to Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott and Ranking Member Elizabeth Warren, the FOP stated that its previous concerns had been addressed regarding law enforcement's ability to investigate crimes involving digital assets. The organization concluded that clarifying language in revised Section 10604 preserves investigators' and prosecutors' authority to pursue unlawful conduct.

The FOP emphasized several provisions it believes strengthen law enforcement capabilities, including measures targeting fraud involving digital asset kiosks and related activity. The bill also introduces anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance requirements across the digital asset sector.
