Former Comox Valley Resident Accused of $4.6M Crypto Fraud

Share

A former resident of Comox Valley and business owner has been accused of crypto fraud by the BC Securities Commission (BCSC).

Connor Sinclair Gardiner-Ingram allegedly committed $4.6 million in fraud by convincing dozens to invest in cryptocurrency trading bots, promising profits after a specific time period.

The notice of hearing states that Gardiner-Ingram did not use the investors' funds for the trading bots; instead, he used the money to purchase luxury goods, jewelry, vehicles, and unrelated travel. He also gave some of the money to family members.

Gardiner-Ingram operated a cryptocurrency investment company called 'Alpha Alliance', which he claimed was registered in Ontario or British Columbia, but the BCSC said no such corporate entity exists.
