Former Comox Valley Resident Accused of Crypto Fraud

A former Comox Valley resident and business owner has been accused of crypto fraud by the BC Securities Commission (BCSC).

Connor Sinclair Gardiner-Ingram allegedly convinced dozens to invest in cryptocurrency trading bots, promising they would receive profits after a specific time period. However, he did not use the investors' funds for the trading bots.

Instead, he used the money to purchase luxury goods, jewelry, vehicles, unrelated travel, and gave it to family members. The BCSC alleges that Gardiner-Ingram worked with someone from Australia, identified as 'R', who would transfer payments to Gardiner-Ingram.

The cryptocurrency investment company operated under the name 'Alpha Alliance', but no corporate entity with that name exists in British Columbia or Ontario. Gardiner-Ingram made false statements to investigators while under oath, according to the notice of hearing.
