Fortitude Mining Bets Big on Zcash with $31.5M Antminer Deal
Fortitude Mining, a subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, has made a significant move in the Zcash mining space. The company has signed an agreement with Bitmain to purchase 9,000 Antminer Z15 Pro units at $3,499 per machine, totaling $31.5 million.
The deal positions Fortitude as one of the most aggressively expanding miners in the privacy coin space, betting on the continued growth of Zcash. The company has already seen a dramatic comeback in the cryptocurrency's price, with trailing twelve-month returns exceeding 1,000% as of mid-June 2026.
Fortitude had previously built its own mining facility in Nebraska, which is projected to reduce direct cash mining costs by approximately 43%. The company plans to list on Nasdaq under the ticker TUDE after merging with HeartSciences, a medical device company trading under the ticker HSCS.
