FortuneJack Rebrands Amid Regulatory Reform
FortuneJack, an early Bitcoin-only casino, has undergone significant changes in its ownership and licensing over the years. Founded in 2014 as one of the first casinos to accept Bitcoin, FortuneJack was originally operated by Nexus Group Enterprises N.V., a Curaçao company. In 2024, following regulatory reform in Curaçao, the operations were transferred to PlayWave SRL in Costa Rica, and the licensing jurisdiction changed from Curaçao to Anjouan, Union of Comoros.
The transition was not related to any bankruptcy or player-fund dispute. In fact, FortuneJack's ownership history appears relatively clean compared to some other crypto casinos. However, there are two trust issues worth noting. Firstly, Trustpilot placed a 'Warning' badge on FortuneJack's profile after removing fake reviews for breaching platform guidelines.
Secondly, LCB (a casino watchdog site) has placed FortuneJack on its Warning List due to complaints about the JackToken project, which players report is associated with incomplete deliverables and blocked withdrawals. Despite these issues, FortuneJack remains one of the few crypto casinos without any widely-documented regulatory blacklisting.
