France To Share Crypto Tax Info Starting 2027
France is set to begin automatically sharing cryptocurrency tax information in 2027, according to recent reports. The move will see the country's financial authorities providing details of transactions made by investors and taxpayers from next year.
The new system, which is part of a wider effort to improve international cooperation on taxation, will be based on data collected between 2026 and 2027. It is expected to provide a more comprehensive picture of cryptocurrency activity in France and help authorities track down tax evaders.
As part of the European Union's DAC8 initiative, countries are working together to establish common standards for sharing information on cross-border transactions. The CARF (Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters) is also playing a key role in implementing this framework.
