Franklin Templeton is expanding its tokenized investment business in Asia through a new partnership with Hong Kong-based HashKey Exchange.

The company has added its Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Liquidity Fund, or grBENJI, to HashKey's Earn platform, which allows professional investors to access the fund directly.

grBENJI is a tokenized version of a traditional money market fund that invests in U.S. government securities and cash denominated in U.S. dollars.

The partnership marks another step in the growth of institutional tokenization in Asia, where countries such as Hong Kong and Singapore have been actively building regulatory infrastructure around virtual assets.
