Franklin Templeton Vet Christopher Jensen Takes Helm at StablecoinX
StablecoinX, a Nasdaq-listed firm that has built its balance sheet around Ethena's governance token, has named Christopher Jensen as its new CEO. Jensen is a former executive at Franklin Templeton's digital asset group and has experience in managing digital assets.
Jensen succeeds Ted Chen, who will remain as chairman of the company's board. This leadership transition marks a pivotal moment for both StablecoinX and Ethena, particularly given the volatile stretch that ENA token is facing.
StablecoinX holds about 3.03 billion ENA tokens, approximately 20% of total supply, making it Ethena's largest corporate holder. As CEO, Jensen will be responsible for managing this substantial treasury built on ENA token holdings worth hundreds of millions of dollars, depending on market pricing.
