The crypto industry has long been aware of the threat posed by quantum computing, but Freedom Factory's PQ1 hardware wallet is tackling this issue head-on.
Unveiled on July 28, 2026, the PQ1 boasts post-quantum cryptographic capabilities and integrates ERC-4337 smart accounts for enhanced security.
The device uses SPHINCS+, a hash-based digital signature scheme resistant to quantum attacks, and is fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
Priced at $179, the PQ1 aims to provide users with peace of mind by leveraging open-source design and publicly auditable firmware code.
