French Authorities Freeze Crypto Assets Tied to Violent Home Invasions
A recent forensic investigation by on-chain analyst ZachXBT has tied a French cybercriminal known as M1llionz to two violent home invasion robberies in France that netted approximately $667,000 in crypto assets.
The incidents occurred three days apart in April 2026. On the first day, five assailants broke into a residence and stole 7.2 BTC worth around $557,000 at the time, leaving victims hospitalized. Three days later, another armed robbery resulted in the theft of an additional $110,000 in digital assets.
ZachXBT's report reveals that the attackers attempted to disperse the capital through cross-chain bridges and centralized platforms. Part of the stolen Bitcoin was bridged to the Ethereum network via Chainflip protocol, with approximately $317,000 moving through three KuCoin deposit addresses before pooling into a consolidation wallet.
The individual identified as M1llionz operated a Telegram channel called EMPIRE and posted content across social media to promote fraudulent services. On-chain analysis linked his digital identity to wallets receiving nearly $84,000 directly from the stolen fund routes.
