French Crypto Thief's Lavish Lifestyle Exposed by On-Chain Investigator
A recent investigation by on-chain analyst ZachXBT has linked an individual operating under the pseudonyms M1llionz and RichMilly666 to two violent home invasions in France last April.
The first incident occurred on April 17, where five assailants forced their way into a victim's home and stole approximately 7.2 bitcoins worth nearly $557,000 at the time. Three days later, another victim was tied up and threatened to transfer about $110,000 in cryptocurrencies.
ZachXBT reconstructed the on-chain fund trail and found that the stolen bitcoins were converted into Ethereum via Chainflip, a cross-chain gateway protocol. A portion of the loot was also converted into Monero, a cryptocurrency designed to obscure amounts and participants.
The individual, M1llionz, has been showcasing an ostentatious lifestyle on Telegram and TikTok, promoting banking fraud services while displaying his wealth. Several screenshots of Exodus wallets shared on this channel received about $84,000 directly from the proceeds of the thefts.
