Fruit Fly's Brain Used to Trade Bitcoin in Unconventional Experiment
A team of engineers has created an unusual project called Stonkfly, which uses a digital reconstruction of a male fruit fly's central nervous system to make cryptocurrency trading decisions.
The simulated brain receives visual information from Bitcoin price charts in the form of candlestick charts, similar to how an organism would receive sensory information through its eyes.
The neural activity is then translated into simple decisions: buy, sell or hold. The project uses data mapping a fruit fly's brain containing 139,255 neurons and over 50 million synapses.
