FTSE 100 Edges Higher Amid Risk-On Sentiment, Bitcoin Soars
The FTSE 100 index rose 0.15% on Tuesday as investors showed a willingness to take on risk, despite escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Bitcoin led the charge, surging above $80,000 for the first time since mid-May and reaching a three-month high of $80,323.
The cryptocurrency has seen its value increase by 28% in August, putting it on track for its biggest monthly gain since November 2024.
