Full Sail Shuts Down After $91K Oracle Exploit on Sui Network
A DeFi protocol called Full Sail has announced it will shut down operations on the Sui network following a costly oracle exploit. The decision comes after an attacker manipulated price data from Switchboard, an oracle provider used across several Move-based blockchains, to siphon funds from vaults.
The same underlying flaw also hit Virtue Protocol, making this one of the more consequential oracle-security incidents to affect the Sui and IOTA ecosystems this year. The attack drained roughly $91,000 from three vaults, while Virtue Protocol lost about $455,000 through fabricated-price liquidations.
Full Sail will use its own protocol liquidity and team funds to fully repay affected depositors. However, Switchboard has not committed to compensation, and Mysten Labs declined to provide financial support. The team expects withdrawal and claims instructions to be released within the next few days.
