Full Sail Shuts Down After Oracle-Linked Security Incident
Decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol Full Sail has announced it will wind down permanently following a security incident tied to an oracle provider. The team attributed the loss of funds to a suspected compromise of Switchboard's oracle infrastructure, which is responsible for feeding price and other data into on-chain systems.
The incident occurred when an attacker removed approximately $91,000 from three of Full Sail's automated vaults. To mitigate further damage, the protocol has disabled new deposits and stopped liquidity provider (LP) reward claims, with plans to move to withdrawal-only mode after completing final security checks.
Full Sail will use remaining protocol-owned liquidity to compensate affected users, covering any shortfall to ensure community depositors are repaid first. The team has promised detailed withdrawal and claim instructions in the coming days, which will clarify timelines, eligibility, and repayment mechanics.
