Fusaka Upgrade Boosts Ethereum Data Capacity Eightfold
Ethereum's Fusaka hard fork has taken effect, significantly increasing data capacity and sparking market interest. The upgrade merged the Fulu consensus layer with the Osaka execution layer to enhance network performance.
The technical changes include PeerDAS, which restructures data handling across nodes, allowing for 8x data throughput for rollups. This should enable more activity to be processed at a lower cost.
Additionally, new cryptographic tools have been implemented to improve user experience. The R1 curve and pre-confirmation mechanisms aim to speed up transaction processing and clarify wallet interactions.
The Ethereum Foundation believes these improvements will particularly benefit mobile users.
