Gadot Defends Starring in 'Bitcoin' Amidst AI Controversy
Gal Gadot has spoken about her upcoming role in 'Bitcoin', a film that has generated controversy due to its use of AI for set design and lighting. The actress, who will star alongside Casey Affleck and Pete Davidson, appeared on the 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast to discuss the project. She revealed that her lawyers spent six months reviewing the script to ensure that AI would not interfere with her performance.
Gadot expressed a mix of emotions about working with AI, stating that she is both afraid of its potential impact and determined to adapt to it. 'I am going to be afraid and look away? No,' she said. 'I am afraid but I am playing with it and learning it and trying to educate myself.'
The film's producer, Ryan Kavanaugh, has claimed that using AI saved the production $200 million by reducing set design costs. Gadot noted that the experience was unlike anything she had experienced before, with the cast shooting in a barebones warehouse without waiting for lighting.
