Gadot Grapples with AI in Upcoming Film

Gal Gadot is starring in an upcoming movie called Bitcoin, which utilizes AI technology to create its production design and lighting. The actress recently spoke about her experience on set, expressing both nerves and curiosity about the role of AI in filmmaking.

In a recent interview on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, Gadot stated that while she is afraid of AI, she chose not to let fear dictate her actions: 'The train has left the station.' She emphasized that working with AI was unavoidable and that she needed to adapt if she wanted to remain relevant in the industry.

The movie's production involved significant use of AI, which filled in for a physical set. Gadot and her team took steps to ensure that AI did not interfere with her acting work, leading to a six-month contract negotiation process. This extensive preparation was so thorough that it even prompted the Screen Actors Guild to seek guidance from Gadot's lawyers.

Although she admits to being uneasy about AI, Gadot describes the experience of working on Bitcoin as 'a pure art form' due to its streamlined production process. The use of AI allowed for non-stop filming without waiting for lighting setup, resulting in an intense yet efficient shooting schedule.
