Galaxy Deploys On-Site Emergency Services at Texas Data Center
Galaxy has established dedicated emergency services at its Helios Data Center Campus in Dickens County, Texas. The company partnered with Total Safety to provide 24/7 fire, rescue, and paramedic coverage. This partnership aims to reduce pressure on local volunteer emergency responders and ensure prompt medical attention for employees and visitors.
The nearest trauma center is approximately 60 miles away, which can add time before a patient reaches advanced hospital care after an accident or emergency. On-site paramedics will begin assessment, stabilization, and treatment before transport, but they cannot replace the surgical, imaging, and specialist services available at a trauma center.
Helios currently has 800 megawatts of approved and contracted gross power, with plans to expand to several gigawatts in the future. The campus is expanding from a former Bitcoin mining facility into an artificial intelligence and high-performance computing center, with Phase II construction expected to add 260 megawatts of critical IT load by mid-2027.
