Galaxy Digital Secures NY BitLicense Amid Broader Crypto Market Weakness

Galaxy Digital has received a New York BitLicense and Money Transmitter License, allowing it to offer regulated crypto trading and custody services to institutional clients in the state.

This approval places Galaxy among a small group of firms with a BitLicense, alongside Coinbase, Robinhood, Circle, and PayPal.

The license will bring Galaxy's total number of global compliance licenses to over 50.

Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz called New York 'the deepest pool of capital in the country,' saying digital assets were moving into mainstream institutional allocations.
