Senate Republicans have released the proposed text for the CLARITY Act, which includes ethics provisions that Democrats are pushing back against. The Digital Asset Market Clarity (CLARITY) Act would bar all US federal officials from issuing or sponsoring any digital asset, including President Donald Trump.

Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego has expressed strong disapproval for the GOP's proposal, calling it 'a piece of shit'. He claims that the draft is not a serious effort and that the language on ethics falls short. Gallego stated that he will work with Republicans to come up with a counterproposal.

Senator Bernie Moreno disagrees with Gallego's assessment, describing the draft as containing 'the most powerful ethics language in US history'. However, Gallego remains confident that the current proposal is inadequate and has vowed to send back stronger language. The fight over the CLARITY Act's ethics provisions continues.
