Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse expressed optimism about US crypto regulations after attending a meeting at the White House and participating in the CFTC's inaugural Innovation Advisory Committee. The committee, which includes Garlinghouse and other industry leaders such as Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong and Uniswap Labs CEO Hayden Adams, discussed the need for clearer federal oversight of digital assets.

Garlinghouse stated that 'rules written for a different era aren't good enough' and that existing financial rules no longer fit digital assets. He emphasized the importance of creating clear regulations to support innovation in the industry.

The meeting at the White House was attended by President Donald Trump, who urged Congress to pass the CLARITY Act, which would provide clearer guidelines for the crypto industry. Garlinghouse noted that one in four Americans owns digital assets and that Washington now understands the importance of addressing this issue.
